

Richard Crowell born March 8, 1933 in a Midwife’s house at 1234 8th Ave., Honolulu, HI. His grandfather raised him until he passed and was then raised by his brothers. He graduated from Kaimuki High School. He went straight to work at Pearl Harbor Navy Naval Supply Shipyard in 1952. A few months later, he enlisted in the Marines during the Korean War, to keep his status at Pearl Harbor. He was a stevedore, then rigger and later to be a Supervisor, for 40 years. He was married to Josephine Marcellino, his beloved, He had two sons, Sherwood (dec) and Richard H. and two daughters, Marcella Cook and Dorcas Fo. He had 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great-grandchild.
Richard loved the ocean. He loved to skin dive and he always provided for his family. He was a member of the Na Alii o Ke Kai Club and certified to scuba dive. He helped to set the buoys around our islands. His part was to set or create the islets into the steel ropes. He was a member of the Ka Makua Mau Loa Church for 60 years and became a Deacon in 2015. He had a sensitive Heart for anyone who needed Help and did whatever he could to help them, no matter who they were.
