Soledad Honorato Polendey

Soledad Honorato Polendey, lovingly known as “Sally” was born on April 25th, 1937, in Wahiawa, Hawaii. She peacefully passed away on October 10, 2024, at the age of 87. She was surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home.

At the tender age of 3, Sally left Hawaii and moved to the Philippines. In 1955, Sally & Felix P. Polendey, Sr. married in Pinili, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. In 1970, they returned to Hawaii. Together, they built a beautiful life and legacy with 8 children, 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A devoted family matriarch with many talents. She was a Nutritional Aid and a Housewife. Her talents include cooking, gardening, sewing, and crocheting. She lovingly created beautiful towels, blankets, and flower leis that she shared with family & friends. Her generous heart knew no bound.

Sally was a spirited traveler, explored the world and embraced new experiences with her family.

Sally is survived by her beloved husband, Felix P. Polendey Sr., and their 8 children: Delia, Felix Jr., Marivick, Malia, Elvira, Agnes, Larry, and Mark. Her legacy of love, care, and generosity will forever live with the generations she leaves behind.

She will be deeply missed.
