William Diza Cadavona, a beloved and devoted member of his family and community, passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on June 28, 1938, in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. William was known for his compassionate, generous, and humorous nature. He resided in Mililani, Hawaii, where he was a wise and hard-working individual, admired for his patience and thoughtfulness.
William was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in the United States Air Force and later retired from Servco and the State of Hawaii Office of the Governor. His dedication to his career was matched by his commitment to his family, where he was a very good provider and protector. As the patriarch of the Cadavona family, he was a caring husband and father. He is survived by his loving spouse, Esperanza Cadavona, and his children Sandra Daniels (Kim Bueno), John Cadavona, David Cadavona, Kristian Cadavona, and King Ed Mina (Clarisse).
His legacy as a community-minded and charitable individual is remembered fondly by all who knew him. William was very generous to his family members and everyone in general, bringing his family and friends to Christ. His kind-hearted and honest nature left a lasting impact on those around him.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Brian Daniels-De Luna (Emelda), Jeremy Daniels, Alyxe Kiana Cadavona, Aiden Mina, Tristan Mina, and Kristopher Cadavona, as well as his great-grandchildren Cyrus Daniels, Zakai Daniels, and Emery Daniels-De Luna. His siblings Eileen Cadavona and Ceferino Cadavona, Jr. also survive him. William was preceded in death by his parents Ceferino Cadavona, Sr. and Angeles Cadavona, and his siblings Angelita Cadavona, Felino Cadavona, and Diana Lynn Burkhart. He was also loved by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on June 27, 2026, at 9:30 am at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery & Funeral Services, located at 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii. A service will follow at 10:30 am at the same location.
