Aaron Preston Freeman, 42, unexpectedly passed away Friday, December 15, 2023. Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Gary Freeman and his brother Gary Freeman Jr. Aaron is survived by his children, Preston Scott Freeman, Erika Raenae Kelley, Kaylei Michelle Freeman, Dakota Aaron Freeman, as well as his Mother Eugenia Vitatoe, Step Mother Angela Freeman, Sister and Brother In Law Cassie & Brian Berry and nephew Brian Berry Jr. and Sister and Brother In Law Heather and Marvin Balcolm and niece Hayley Frasier and her husband Brandon, nephew Marvin Balcom Junior and wife Keuni Balcom. He is also survived by his Ex Wife and mother of Erika, Kaylei & Dakota, Raenae Freeman as well as Preston’s mother, Anna Odom and a slew of extended family and friends.
Aaron grew up in the Kansas City, KS and Bonner/Edwardsville area and remained here all of his life. Although he talked about wanting to move to Colorado, he could never bring himself to be so far away from his children, his family. Aaron had several interests, fast cars, motorcycles, fishing, barbecuing, but above all, being a mechanic was his life’s work. Aaron made a career out of what he loved most, working on cars. He took great pride in being a master mechanic.
Aaron was a family man and his children were his whole world. Aaron had just learned a few short months ago that he was now going to be a grandpa, well a Paw Paw, as he wanted to be called. Grayson Aaron Michael Bell is expected to make his appearance into the world this spring. The light in his eyes shined again just as it did every time he found out he was going to be a daddy. This is what he lived for. He was so proud of each of his children in all of their accomplishments and was the family protector. Although he might mess with you, no one else could.
Aaron will be missed but never forgotten, his family will keep his memory and legacy alive and know that he is watching over each and every one of them.
A visitation for Aaron will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
