Albert Ellis Hylton, III, died October 5, 2013. He was born July, 29, 1920 in Louisville, KY and was the only child of Albert Ellis and Hazel Murphy Hylton. Albert served his country in the United States Army beginning in December 1946, earning several decorations and citations including two Bronze Stars, a Victory Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He retired from the Army in July 1980 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He obtained his law degree and was actively licensed to practice law at the time of his death in the states of Texas, Kansas and Missouri, with his primary practice being in Kansas City, Missouri. Albert married Vita C. Bergantine on September 8, 1960 in Kansas City, MO and she preceded him in death, having died on July 12, 2012.
Visitation is October 8th from 8:30-9:00 AM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home and graveside service at 10 AM at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd., Leavenworth, KS.
