Annie Mae Gibson, 90, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away November 4, 2018 at home surrounded by family. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Thursday, November 8th at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Annie was born September 23, 1928 in Millerton, Oklahoma to Thomas and Myrtle Williamson. She was raised Baptist. Annie was joined in marriage to her beloved husband, George Gibson. Annie loved taking care of her family, especially cooking delicious meals. She was the sweetest Southern woman and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Gibson; her daughter, Rita Gibson; her son, Michael Gibson, I; her daughter-in-law, Joyce Gibson; her son-in-law, Alton “Red” Crabtree; her sisters, Edith, Mildred, Alice, and Betty; and her brothers, Edgar, James, Jack, and Harold.

Annie is survived by her sons, Danny Gibson (Betty) of Terrell, Texas, and George Garry Gibson of KCK; her daughter, Pamela Crabtree of KCK; her grandchildren, Michael, Joan, Melissa, David, Brian, Laura, Cory, Daniel, and Tony; her great-grandchildren, Mirabella, Brooke, Kyle, Seth, Ashlyn, Blake, Andrew, Breanna, Jonathan, Dylan, Khloe, Gunner, Addison, Abby, and Ally.

Pam, Danny and Gary, im so sorry to hear about your mom. i remember her with a peaches and cream complexion. One time she gave me a piece of her chocolate mainaise cake. i remember that to this day how scrumptous it was. I came down at least every other day to see Pam, and she always smiled and let me stay. my prayers are with your families, Your neighbor on the old 88th st. Karen Passler-Chowning
