On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, Aynard passed away at the age of 65.
Those of us that were lucky enough to cross paths with Aynard knew how funny, passionate and colorful he was. He was a great story-teller, (though some may have been exaggerated a bit,) they were still great and so, so fun to listen to. He never pulled any punches. You always knew exactly what was on his mind, and exactly where he stood on everything. Aynard always said he did not want to be a “plastic person,” and for sure, he was not. He was as real as it gets.
Aynard was always playing his music loud (loud enough to knock things off of the walls) and working on projects. And not your ordinary projects. He had Army vehicles, planes, safes and loved anything that went BOOM. Fourth of July was always the best when he was around, he made sure of that.
He went on many different adventures. Whether it was a trip for two with Rene or an entire family vacation. Aynard was ready to bring the fun and just wanted everyone to have a good time.
So don’t be sad for our loss, be grateful we had the opportunity to be part of the life of such a wonderful person. He will be SO MISSED.
Aynard is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rene Anderson; his daughters, Andrea Simons (Robert), Heather Anderson; his grandchildren, Dawn, Kelsie, Kyle, Cassie, Brie, Wyatt; his great-grandchildren, Legacy, Nikolai, and Collin; as well as other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00pm, Sunday, March 3rd at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. Funeral services will be 11:00am, Monday, March 4th at the funeral home, with interment with honors to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
