

Bernard “B.J.” John Wyman, 79, passed away April 23, 2015. A visitation will be held Sunday, April 26th from 4:00-6:00PM with funeral service on Monday, April 27th at 10:00AM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCKS, 66112, 913-334-3366. Interment will follow services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Diabetes Association, 6900 College Boulevard, Suite 250, Leawood, Kansas 66211.
B.J. was born August 14, 1935 to Irving and Hazel (Dreier) Wyman. He graduated from Argentine High School in 1953 and was active in his Alumni. He married the love of his life, Lettitia and was married for 58 years. Together they had three children, Scott, Denise, and Roxanne. B.J. enjoyed coaching Scott’s little league team and often enjoyed watching KU and T-Bones games. He worked for BPU as an engineer for 40 years before his retirement. He was a well-loved man, never knew a stranger, enjoyed talking to people on his ham radio and attending church at Village Presbyterian. B.J. also spent the last four years volunteering his time at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
B.J. was preceded in death by his wife, Lettitia; daughter, Roxanne Wyman and parents, Irving and Hazel Wyman. He is survived by his son, Scott (Jenny) Wyman; daughter, Denise (Mike) Trabon; brothers, Chester, Robert, and Thomas; sister, Irene (Aubrey); grandchildren, Kim (Mike), Brandon, Derek (Ashley), Troy (Brittany), Samantha (Beau), and Ashley; and 6 great-grandchildren.
