Betty was a beautiful soul, both inside and out, and was loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who welcomed everyone into her life with an open heart. Her kindness, warmth, and unconditional love touched the lives of so many, and her presence made the world a brighter place.
Betty cherished her family and enjoyed spending time talking and making memories with those she loved. She was known for her warm smile, which could brighten even the cloudiest of days, and her hugs, which always seemed to come at just the right moment. She had a special way of making people feel loved, accepted, and cared for. Whenever someone needed advice or guidance, Betty was always there with comforting words and a listening ear. Simply being in her presence was a gift, and her love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
In her spare time, Betty enjoyed playing bingo and reading. She also loved being outdoors, especially when she had the opportunity to watch her favorite birds, hummingbirds. These simple joys brought happiness to her days and reflected the beauty she found in the world around her.
Betty's greatest legacy is the love she shared with her family and the countless lives she touched throughout her life. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart, her welcoming spirit, her beautiful smile, and the comfort she brought to others. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she gave will live on through the generations of her family.
Betty is survived by her six children: daughters Francis Graf (Jerry), Helen Melius, Sarah Edwards, Janet Graf (Joe), and Sherri Graf; and son David Melius. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Jennifer Montiel (Henry), Sharelle Melius (Dennis Colon), April Yakish (Thomas), Sebastian Graf (Kristie), Jake Graf, Wayne Graf (Christina), William Graf (Sharon), Elizabeth Edwards, Lisa Edwards, Amanda Graf (Tyson), Junior Graf (Crystal), Shawn Graf (Lacy), Nicole Graf, Jamie Graf (Cordell), Ashley Graf (Dalton), and Lindie Hoelscher, along with her many cherished great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her significant other, Michael Walker, and her husband, Frank Melius.
Though Betty's time here has come to an end, the love she gave so freely will never fade. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and a legacy of kindness, acceptance, and unconditional love. Her smile, her hugs, her wisdom, and her beautiful spirit will be missed more than words can express.
Rest peacefully, Betty. You were loved by so many, and you will never be forgotten.
