

Bobby J. Nolan, 66, of Kansas City, KS., passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner Hospitals for Children, 5300 Metcalf, Overland Park, Ks 66202. Bobby was born on September 15, 1943 in Kansas City, KS to James Joseph and Myrtle (Hand) Nolan. He served his country honorably in Vietnam through the U.S. Army. Bobby retired as a plant operator for the Kansas City Water Pollution Dept. He was a truck driver, an avid knife and sword collector, and enjoyed reading, watching western movies and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bobby was a member of the Abdallah Shrine Temple and Scotish Rite Temple 0271. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include the love of his life and wife of 38 years, Patsy Ruth (Spence) Nolan; son, Russell D. Nolan and his wife Samantha of Kansas City, KS; three daughters, Teresa Saunders and her husband Darty of Shawnee, KS, Bobbie Jo Nolan and Velma Nolan, both of Kansas City, KS. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his seven grandchildren, Billy, Krislynn, Brittney, Brandon, Shyann, Madison and Blake; two brothers, Gary Nolan and Don Nolan; three sisters, Judy Ledom, Kathy Kelly and Joann Nolan. His family will miss him dearly, and his memory will forever live in their hearts.
