Eric, Sharon and Denise. Please forgive our absence today but at 85 and in frail health, this weather is keeping us in and off the road. We know Burt’s passing is tough on all and your families. Like with your Mom, keep the special memories foremost in your heart, it makes loss easier to bear. We love you all.

Denise's tribute to her dad: At only 5 feet 6 inches on his tallest day--he was a "Giant" of a man to me, the tallest man I ever knew. I learned that a man is not measured by feet and inches. He was a dad of unwavering integrity; a dad that worked tirelessly to support our family. I remember Mom once told me as a young girl of about 4, that I said I wished Dad would get sick. Mom inquired as to why I might make such a statement-I am told I replied, "so that Dad could stay home with me and play." I loved my dad for being a wonderful example of a Christian man and for the loving father that he was. As the years have passed, I feel so blessed and eternally grateful that God would see fit to place me in the care of this special Dad and Mom. I am praying that I might always be granted the precious gift of memory, in order to remember all the times that I shared with my dad. I love you Dad, Denise.
