Carl Lee Scammahorn passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born, raised, and lived in Kansas City, KS his entire life. Carl was a loving husband, a supportive father, and a proud grandpa. Carl enjoyed helping everyone, his bold smile and larger-than-life personality was always enjoyable. Carl lived life to the fullest. He especially loved hunting, fishing, and spending precious time with his grandkids.
Carl was preceded in death, by his father, Dale Scammahorn. He is survived by his mother, Helen Scammahorn, his wife of 50 years, Linda Scammahorn, his sons Robert Findley (wife Melissa) and Jeremiah Scammahorn (wife Kimmy), his grandchildren Haley Lobner (John), Krista Lemanske (Cameron), Ashton Findley (Kylie), Ethan Wolf, Ellyse Findley, and Abbigail Findley, his sisters Karen Thomas (husband Tim) and Kathy Rausch (husband Byron) and 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1086 N 94th St, Kansas City, KS 66112, at 9:30am, with a funeral service to follow at 10:30am. Graveside services will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, N. 126th St and Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS 66109.
Although Carl may be gone from this earth, his spirit will live in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to NorthCare Hospice House, 2800 Clay Edwards Dr, Kansas City, MO 64116.
