Charles Andrew Johnson

Charles Andrew Johnson, 84, passed away on Sunday October 2, 2011 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Charles was born on March 27, 1927 on the family farm in Kansas City, Kansas to Jennie (Johanson) Johnson and Alexander Johnson. He will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father and friend. Charles was a member of the Moose Lodge in Kansas City, KS. He retired from Sealright Corp. in 1989 after 46 years of service. Charles was preceded in death by his father and mother, wife Carol (Weislocher) Johnson, wife Elizabeth A. (Wesner) Johnson, daughter Kathy (Johnson) Cindric, brother Robert Johnson, sisters Pauline Onsen, Elsie Mattox and Edith Davis. Charles is survived by daughter Karen Huff (Larry), companion Florence Pembleton, brother Clyde Johnson, grandson Scott Saunders (Sandi) and great granddaughter Marle Saunders. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
