

Dale Alan Proctor, 54, of Hillsdale, Kansas, died April 30, 2007. Services will be Friday May 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St. Kansas City, Kansas with interment to follow. Friends may call on Friday from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Family requests contributions be made to Pearl Street Baptist Church, Paola, Kansas.
Dale was born September 15, 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas and was a lifelong resident of the area, having spent three years in Texas. He worked at the Bulk Mail Center of the U.S. Post Office in Kansas City, Kansas for 14 years where he was a member of the union. He also at one time owned and operated his own roofing business. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports, his favorites being KU, the Royals, the Chiefs, and Dale Earnhart's racing team.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Harrison Proctor and Grace Viola Mundy Proctor; and his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Debi Proctor of the home; son Dale Alan Freeman (fiancée Phay Brewer) of Osawatomie, Kansas; grandson Rylee Scott Freeman of Osawatomie, Kansas; 5 brothers and sisters, Linda Benskin (Kenneth) of Shawnee, Kansas, Larry Proctor (Linda) of Terrell, Texas, Terry Williams of Sedalia, Missouri, Carol Stewart (Kenneth) of Basehor, Kansas, and Lou Ann Willams (John) of Leavenworth, Kansas; mother-in-law Jo Ann Tavis of Kansas City, Kansas; nieces, nephews, family, and many friends.
