Daniel "Dan" Lee Jeffries

Daniel “Dan” Lee Jeffries of Kansas City, KS passed away on Tuesday, January 14 2020. He was 69 years old. A visitation will be held from 7:00-9:00 pm on Monday, January 20 at London Height Baptist Church, 734 North 78th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112. A funeral service will take place the following morning, Tuesday, January 21 at the London Height Baptist Church. Internment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112.

Dan was born on July 5, 1950 in Kansas City, Kansas to Milton Foster and Naomi Irene (Lasley) Jeffries. Dan attended and graduated from Wyandotte High School with the Class of 1969. During high school, he also was a member of the Wyandotte High School Cross Country team. Dan also received the honor of Eagle Scout on December 8 1965. Shortly after high school, Dan served his country in the United States Army from October 1970 to October 1976. After the services, Dan returned to Kansas City and worked as an equipment operator at Kansas City Power and Light and retired after 33 years of employment.

Dan was a devoted member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Kansas City, KS. A man of many traits, Dan was also an AVTS graduate for auto body repair. Dan was a family man, and cherished every moment he spent with them. He was deeply loved and will be missed by many.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Foster Jeffries and Naomi Irene (Lasley) Jeffries.

Left to cherish Dan’s memory is his loving wife, Gail Jeffries of Kansas City, Kansas; his children, Brandy Jeffries and Shane Jeffries, both of Kansas City, Kansas; siblings. Dean Jeffries of Chesterfield, Missouri, Debbie Wilson of Emporia, Kansas, Dave Jeffries of Olathe, Kansas; grandchildren, Kayla, Kylie and Kira Isabell of Kansas City, Kansas, Landon and Emerson Jeffries of Kansas City, Kansas; and great-granddaughters, Lyla and Lyza McAfee of Kansas City, Kansas.
