Deborah Jean Walton

Deborah Jean Walton, 69, Edwards, Missouri, formerly of Edwardsville, Kansas passed away August 23, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will be immediately following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, August 29, 2017, also at the funeral home.

Debbie was born on July 5, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1966. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Walton on November 12, 1966.

Debbie was in banking for 40 years and retired from Industrial State Bank. She loved gardening and spending time at her farm. She also enjoyed holidays, researching genealogy, taking photos and celebrating birthdays with her family.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Donald and Irene Gaunce; father-in-law, Felix M. Walton; mother-in-law, Ada Nadine Walton; brother-in-law, Johnnie Lee Walton; and sister-in-law, Felicia Wilkerson.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth Walton; daughter, Larissa (David) Phillips; son, James (Leona) Walton; granddaughters, Micaela (Owen) Blackwood and Morgan Reed; sister, Linda Cunliffe; brother, Robert (Tammy) Gaunce; sister, Colleen (Bob) Hadwick; brother-in-law, Jack (Becky) Walton; aunt, Tina Iwan; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
