Denni lived in Kansas most of her life and also made homes in Missouri, California, Virginia, Washington, and Alabama; carrying with her a steady presence and a deep care for the people around her wherever she went. She built a long and respected career in the car business, serving as a finance manager for more than 20 years, and most recently devoted four years of service to a homeless shelter, where she helped those experiencing homelessness and supported battered women with compassion and resolve.
Denni found joy in the everyday moments that made life feel full; Halloween, scary movies, shopping, and Mexican restaurants, as well as time spent doing hair and makeup, going to the pool, and loving her dogs. Above all, she treasured her children and the pride and happiness she found in being a grandma. Those who knew Denni will remember her quick sense of fun; especially the playful pranks she loved to pull on her kids and grandkids; and the unmistakable delight she took in a good laugh, particularly when she could make them jump.
Denni is preceded in passing by her father, Richard Lynn Place.
Denni is survived by her children, Brookelynn Sky Landes and Logan Timothy Place; her son-in-law, Michael Travis Hill; her parents, Billie Sharyl Landes; and her grandchildren, Brody Allen Hill, Finley Laree Hill, and Paisley Rose Hill.
