Dennis Ray Barbour

Dennis Ray Barbour, 79, of KCK, passed away June 4, 2018. Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Fri., June 8, 2018 at Chapel Hill – Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK, with visitation from 1-2pm preceding the service. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Dennis was born March 8, 1939 in Eldon, MO to John and Mary Barbour. He graduated from Argentine High School and worked for over 33 years as a forklift operator for Safeway Grocery Warehouse, then ten years for Argosy Casino. Dennis was also a longtime member of the Teamsters Union. He was joined in marriage to Donna Gene Snyder on August 11, 1972 and they enjoyed 45 years of marriage before her passing, just three months ago in February. Dennis enjoyed going to car shows, woodworking (especially making candle holders), and mowing his yard. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family, including the four-legged members.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Barbour; and his beloved wife, Donna Barbour.

He is survived by his children, Danny Barbour (Donna), Debbie Wear (Mark), and Dennis Barbour (Maggie); his grandchildren, Jason and Jeremy Barbour, and Madison Wear; and his siblings, Elizabeth Johnson (Vernon), and Larry Barbour (Pat).
