

She graduated from Turner High School in 1951 and went on to cosmetology school, which became her life-long career. She was the previous owner of Shampoo Hut in Bonner Springs, KS and Shampoo Hut II in Basehor, KS.
She was married to Gary Henderson on June 2nd and together they had 46 wonderful years together. After retirement Dee and Gary enjoyed traveling to numerous places together; she had a special place in her heart for the mountains in Colorado, Weston, MO, Pella, IA and Herman, MO along with the many orchards she was able to tour. She delighted in their home at the Lake of the Ozarks, where they did a lot of boating and fishing. Dee was proud of her rooster collection and had a great love for hummingbirds.
Dee also loved spending time with her grandkids and attending their ballgames and other extra-curricular events. She became a second mom to Adam and Alex after their mother (Dee’s daughter) passed away.
Dee is preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Loralyn Adams Delich.
Survivors include her husband Gary; son, Louis Adams of Edwardsville, KS; daughter, Lisa Adams Trowbridge and her husband, Dennis of Kansas City, KS; step-daughter, Tammy Herken and her husband, Kirk of Leavenworth, KS; sister, Mary Ann Gunter of Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Amy and Ashley Lumley, Adam and Alex Delich, Macy Woodruff, Payton and Reid Herken; 9 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
Per Dee’s own request, a service will not be held and cremation will take place. Her final resting place will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
