Donald “Don” Grover, 94, of Grove, OK previously Basehor, KS, passed away on July 9, 2025, at Grandwood Village, Grove, OK. Visitation will be from 10-11am July 23 with services to follow at 11:00 am at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made at the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Don was born on September 28, 1930, in Holton Kansas to Ellsworth and Lena Grover. He graduated from Holton High School and married the love of his life, Waundia Fay Richardson on July 13, 1952. Don was a machinist for Proctor and Gamble for over 30 years and in his younger days enjoyed baling hay on his 40 acres and restoring old cars including a 1941 Chevrolet coupe, 1951 Chevrolet pickup and several Corvairs.
He was preceded in death by his wife Fay, his parents Ellsworth and Lena, his brother Glenn Grover, and his sister Gladys Berntsen.
Don is survived by his daughter, Jeanette Kleoppel (Don), son, Scott Grover, his grandchildren, Morgan Delabar (Tim), Carter Kleoppel, Mikala Shumard (Tate), Sarah Grover, and his great grandson Benny Don Shumard as well as many nieces, nephews and other friends and Family.
