Our heartfelt talks at the VA, the laughs we shared about the years at Sumner High were the highlights of our friendship. I will truly miss your presence even more than your two-step. Geri, you lived up to your vows.... in sickness and in health. GOD grant you strength in this time of need.

Another soldier called home. We were saddened to hear of the passing of Brother Donald Ray Moore Sr. But we stand on the Word of God. The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 

To Superintendent Donald Moore Jr. and the entire Moore family, we the members of the Suburban District Department of Women wish to send our heartfelt condolences. We are in earnest prayer for you. There is no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Cherish the memories and know that when this earthly journey ends, we will meet the King of Glory face to face. 

And today, I saw the King of Glory in all of His splendor, majesty, and grace.
As my spirit crossed the Jordan, I saw Him face to face. 
He took me by the hand,
And ushered me into the Promised Land.

My Family let Jesus comfort your hearts and souls,
Because the King of Glory has already taken off these grave clothes.
And today, I am sitting at the King of Glory’s feet. 
For this earthly journey is complete.

To the family of Donald Ray Moore Sr. I send my deepest sympathy in this difficult time. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, a person and but also a good friend to everyone. Mr. Moore was a good person in his own special way, he share a lot of love to everyone he came in contact. He definitely, was a blessing to everyone always, which he was truly called a friend in deed. He was loved dearly by family, and friends. He was well known in the community.  He was a faithful servant to the Lord. He also enjoyed family time. Gone to soon… but not forgotten. He transition home to glory, where he received his wings, he definitely will be missed, to all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the rest of whole family, and friends. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalm 30: 5) Rest in peace  Mr. Moore; you’re now resting in the arms of Jesus. May God bless, and keep this family in perfect peace.

You fought a good fight and God saw fit to call you home, after a job well done. It was always a pleasure talking to Donald Ray. I’m going to miss those fun visits with Larry Caldwell, and Lonnie (LJ) Jackson when Donald Ray felt like having company when I was in town. The Sumner High Class of 1965 has lost another Warrior but God has gain another Soul. To the Moore Family you have my deepest sympathy. Rest in Heaven Donald Ray
