Dorothy L Henderson

Dorothy L. Henderson, 87, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away November 3, 2015 at Providence Medical Center. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2015 in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Great Plains SPCA, 5428 Antioch Drive, Merriam, KS 66202 or Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64137.

Dorothy was born January 1, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas to Ben and Nora Johnson. She graduated from Wyandotte High School and worked for Hallmark for over ten years. Dorothy married Henry Henderson and then stayed home to take care of their son, Mike. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and she enjoyed flower gardening. Dorothy loved animals and donated to the SPCA whenever she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and her husband, Henry Henderson.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Mike Henderson; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Ida Myers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
