

Drector Allen Collins, Sr., 77, passed away August 19, 2021. Drector was born February 26, 1944, to Drector Wendel (Pete) Collins and Ida Mae (Allen) Collins, he was the youngest and only son of four children. He was preceded in death by both parents, and sisters, Wendolyn (Wendy) Curley, Joyce Sewell, and Donnie June McGee.
He was a member of Sumner H.S.’s graduating class of 1962 and a top athlete. Upon graduating, he married Regina Annette James. To this union were born 3 children: Terri Micquel, Drector Allen, Jr., and Niccole LaChelle.
Drector was employed with TWA/World Span in 1964. He retired after 39 years of service.
In 1979 Drector married Anna Kay Rogers, of Leavenworth, KS and remained married until her untimely death, in 2001.
On July 4, 2003 Drector married Rochelle Yvonne Bogan, of Chicago, IL. The 2 remained happily married and continued world traveling, until Drector’s passing.
A memorial service for Drector will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 4, 2021, with a gathering for family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Inurnment will be immediately following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family is asking those in attendance to wear white, if possible.
