Edna S. Kaestner, 102, died peacefully in her sleep at Plaza West Care Center in Topeka, Kansas on November 29, 2014. Edna was born in Houstonia, Missouri on February 15, 1912 to Wayland and Etta Mae Scott. She married Harry L. Strader, who preceded her in death in 1956 and later married Alfred Kaestner, who passed in 1986. Edna is survived by two sons, Harry L. Strader, Jr. and wife Darlene of Topeka, Kansas, and Tom D. Strader and wife Theresa of Shawnee, Kansas; three grandchildren, Dave Strader of Rio Rancho, NM; Anne Strader (Nat) of Cedar Crest, NM; and Mary Strader (Nate) of Markgroeningen, Germany; and five great-grandkids, Joshua, Kier, Liam, Ashley & Lexi. Edna was an avid bowler and a member of the Columbia, Missouri Bowling Hall of Fame.
Graveside services will be held at the Houstonia, Missouri Cemetery on Wednesday, December 3rd at 11:00 a.m., family and friends are welcome.
