Eldora “Mickey” Maxine Stauch was born on April 4, 1927, in Independence, KS. She passed away on November 19, 2020, in Edwardsville, KS. She was 93 years old.

Known as Mickey to her friends and family, she was the proud mother of 8 children - three daughters and five sons. Mickey’s greatest love was her family, and she was well-loved in return by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A voracious reader with an avid love for puzzles, Mickey was also an excellent cook and baker, known for her incredible pies. She was also known for her wicked sense of humor which she retained until the end.

After retiring from the Sealright Company, Mickey spent her retirement bird-watching from her favorite living room recliner and holding court at the home that she shared with her son, Charles, as her children and grandchildren came by to visit her often. Mickey especially loved Christmas Eve when the entire family gathered at her small home en mass to celebrate the holiday and be together.

She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Carl Stauch, a son, Richard Stauch, daughter-in-law Tina Stauch, a granddaughter, Alesha Stauch, a grandson, John Eagles, her sisters, Mary Margaret, Roseanne, and Alice, and brother Joe Jr.

She is survived by her daughters Barbara Murray and her husband Larry, Carol Tarwater, and Pat Eagles, her four sons James Stauch, Carl Stauch, and his wife Susan, Martin Stauch, and Charles Stauch, as well as 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

I'm glad that Mickey had such a full and happy life, and I offer my condolences, thoughts, prayers to the entire Stauch family. My dad, Fred Gross, grew up in the house at 105 S. 26th street, which was actually built by his father, Fritz Gross and his brother-in-law, Ed Stauch. For those that are interested in Genealogy, feel free to contact me at "con-ed@sbcglobal.net" and I will be glad to share what I've learned regarding our family history. I'm very sorry for your loss.
