
Ella F. Edwards, 88, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Presbyterian Manor in Kansas City, Kansas, where she lived. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 1st, at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. Ella was born May 10, 1923 in Chillicothe, Missouri to Ullim and Ethel (Pollock) Burnett. She grew up in Marshall, Missouri, but lived in the Kansas City Area most of her life. She and her husband owned and operated Eddie’s Hobby Shop in Kansas City, Kansas for many years. Ella enjoyed many crafts, including cross stitch, knitting and sewing, and she was a member of Grandview United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Glen Edwards, when he died in 1996. Survivors include her son, Steven Edwards of Kansas City, Kansas; her daughter, Carolyn Riedel and her husband Louis of Kansas City, Kansas; her brother, Marvin Burnett of California; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Cervantes and her husband Felix, Kelly Elmore and her husband Andre, Andy Edwards and Matt Edwards; and 3 great-grandchildren, Joanna Elmore, Olivia Cervantes, and Haille Elmore.
