Emma Jean Beatty, 82, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2025. She was born on July 31, 1943, to William P. “Bill” White and Annie Neal White.
On September 14, 1973, Emma Jean married the love of her life, Glen Beatty, and together they shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Jean retired from the banking industry in 2005 and found great joy giving back to her community through volunteer work. One of her favorite ways to serve was alongside Glen with the Shriners, helping transport children to hospitals where they could receive vital medical care.
Jean and Glen were also active members of the Good Sam’s Club, traveling the country, camping, and building lifelong friendships everywhere they went. After retiring, they spent their winters in the Rio Grande Valley, enjoying the warmth of the sun and the fellowship of good friends.
Jean’s faith was a cornerstone of her life. She attended Crossroads Christian Church with Glen and lived out her faith daily through her kindness, compassion, and service to others.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Melody Lynne Drake, son Terry Beatty, daughter Wanda Bross, grandson Aaron Drake, granddaughter Carlise Cox, brothers Billy Paul White, Reuben Ray Hanshew Sr., Jackie Joe Hicks, and sister Coleta Christmas.
