Ethel M Patterson

Ethel M. Patterson, 92, passed away November 1, 2015 at Presbyterian Manor. Visitation will be Friday, November 6th from 9:00-11:00AM with the funeral service at 11:00AM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCKS 66112. Interment will follow services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Stony Point Christian Church, 149 S. 78th St., KCKS 66111.

Ethel was born June 13, 1923 to William and Ruth (Trapp) Eaken. She spent the majority of her life in the KCK area where she was a member of the Stony Point Christian Church and a former Deaconess. Ethel worked for Swift and Company for 39 years before her retirement. In her free time, Ethel enjoyed painting, square dancing, reading and being on the go.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth; husband, Alfred Patterson; son, Jack Thomas; granddaughter, Amy Bowman and brother, Lee Eaken. She is survived by her children, Ruth Ann (Walt) Farmer, Bill (Joyce) Thomas, and Kathleen (Tom) Bowman; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as two sisters, Dorothy Yelton and Beth Ann Gilbert.
