Born at home in Muncie, Ks. July 6th 1934
Attended Timmons Grade School in Muncie the Stony Point Middle School
He received awards in 1946 for track, in 1947 several awards in 4-H. He was a Boy Scout and went to Philmont Boy Scout Camp in New Mexico for 2 weeks in 1951
Graduated from Washington High School class of 1952. He was on the Football team all three years there.
Married his High School sweetheart Mary Jo Newlon in 1955, at Christ the King Catholic Church, they were married 66 years prior to her death in 2021. They had three sons.
He served in the Army from 1954 til 1960 in the states and in Germany.
He worked for GM in the early 50's and then Sinclair/Arco until he retired in 1986. His work moved them to Illinois, New Jersey, Texas, and Calif. He then retired in California and moved back to the Kansas City area in 1992.
He loved all sports and loved to travel. He also watched a lot of news & financial reports on TV.
After the death of his beloved wife just 10 months ago, Gene moved to Addington Place of Shoal Creek.
Eugene is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary Jo, brother Robert Clark, and mother Anna (Budy) Clark & father Leo Clark.
He is survived by their three sons, Gregory Clark, Michael Clark (Connie), David Clark, all of Excelsior Springs, Mo. and one out of state granddaughter Elizabeth.
