

Eva Mae Williams, 85, of Lawrence, formerly of Tonganoxie, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at a Lawrence Care Home. She was born March 3, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Johnnie Allen and Martha Alvena Shultz Longfellow. She has lived in Lawrence since 2006 after moving from Tonganoxie, where she lived since 1988. She was a homemaker and was a member of the McLouth First Baptist Church. She was married to Kenneth Ray Williams on May 5, 1949 in Osceola, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2006.
She is survived by three sons, Curtis and wife, Debbie, Kenneth Ross and wife, Vickie, and Johnnie and wife, Bonnie all of Leavenworth; one daughter, Carolyn Retter, of Lawrence, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Williams, a brother, Johnnie Longfellow and three sisters, Pearl Longfellow, Lottie Calhoon, and Ida Louise Harris.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 7, at the McLouth First Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens located at 701 North 94th Street in Kansas City, Kansas.
