Frances L. Knapp

Frances L. Knapp, 81, of Kansas City, KS., passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 10, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery Leavenworth, KS. Visitation will be 10:00-12:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House 12000 Wornall Rd. Kansas City, MO. 64131. Frances was born on November 9, 1929 in Welborn, KS., to Francis and Ora (Dodd) Greenstreet. Frances and her husband were involved everyday with numerous activities at the Bonner Springs Senior Center. She enjoyed making quilts and was awarded first prize at the Wyandotte County Fair. Frances was a devoted wife, and loving mother who cared for her children and grandchildren with tender loving care. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Charles B. Knapp Jr., her children: Charles B. Knapp III (Betty), Cindy Carter (Jeff), Don Knapp (Sharon), Steve Knapp and Frank Knapp (Rachel). Left behind to cherish her memory are her 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, Kansas City, KS.
