Georgia Kyle Rorhbach, 88, passed away June 13, 2015. A visitation will be held Saturday, June 20th from 12:00-1:00 PM with the funeral service at 1:00 PM at First United Methodist, 422 Chestnut St., Leavenworth, KS 66048. Inurnment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th St., KCKS 66112. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 6977 Main St., Houston, TX 77030.
Georgia was born February 7, 1927 to James and Georgia Kyle. Georgia was the youngest of 10 children. She enjoyed working around the house to help her mom while her dad worked for the railroad. Georgia met the love of her life, Frank Rohrbach in November of 1945 and they married on September 28, 1946. The happy couple adopted their daughter, Kyle Ann in 1954. Together they owned a GM dealership until their retirement in 1993. Georgia was active in the First United Methodist Church in Leavenworth, KS. She was a proud member of the PEO sisterhood and a sponsor for many officers from the Swiss Army. In her free time, Georgia enjoyed gardening, baking, golf (in her early years), bridge, dancing, and the occasional screwdriver or margarita. She was an excellent cook and her family always enjoyed meals prepared by her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; and 9 siblings. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Kyle Darby; grandchildren, Clayton R. Darby and Anna Beth Darby; and great-grandchildren, Aiden and Kinley Darby.
