Glenna Charlene Snyder, 83, of Valley Falls, Kansas, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026. She was born on October 30, 1942, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Glynn Charles Moberly and Naomi Delain Kranovich.
Glenna married the love of her life, Paul Albert Snyder, on October 22, 1960, in Kansas City, Kansas. Together, they began their family and built a life centered around faith, love, family, and service to others. Glenna was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great- great grandmother and cherished friend.
Glenna dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a registered nurse. She held positions at Providence Medical Center, Sunshine Home Health, and the Tonganoxie School District, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives. In 2005, she was honored by the Greater Kansas City Emergency Nurses Association as Emergency Nurse of the Year, a recognition that reflected the extraordinary care and commitment she brought to her profession.
Her faith was a constant and meaningful part of her life. She was committed to that faith and made reading scripture a part of her daily life. Her kindness, happiness, and gentle spirit were unmistakable. Glenna had a rare ability to make every person she encountered feel loved, valued, and appreciated. She never needed a reason to show kindness, and she left people feeling better simply because they had crossed paths with her.
Glenna also had a wonderful sense of adventure and a love for travel. Her journeys took her from Alaska to Hawaii and throughout the mountains of Colorado. She white-water rafted and climbed the Continental Divide within Rocky Mountain National Park. She cherished the Great Smoky Mountains and proudly climbed to the summit of Clingman's Dome. Her adventurous spirit was a reflection of the joy and enthusiasm with which she lived her life.
Above all else, Glenna loved her family. She treasured every moment spent with them and was especially devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored and showered with love at every opportunity. Her children, Delain Marie Branstetter (Jim), Paul Mark Snyder (Karen), Scott Michael Snyder (Shelly), and Charles Wesley Snyder were a source of immense pride and joy.
Glenna's life was defined not only by the years she lived, but by the love she gave. She had a kind and gentle soul, an open heart, and a gift for making everyone around her feel special. Many who knew her described her as a true angel on earth. Her warmth, compassion, laughter, faith, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of the many people whose lives she touched.
Our angel on earth, now in heaven.
Glenna's memory will live on through her family, friends, former patients and students, and all those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
