Grace Isabel Bertha (Gutierrez) Puckett, 62, passed away suddenly on May 12, 2018. She entered this world on September 16, 1955 in Jefferson City, MO to Martin and Lucille Ash, shortly after they relocated to KCK to begin a new life.

Grace’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her beloved husband Jesus (Tony) Gutierrez, her children, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed taking pictures of her family to capture moments in time and would often view them and reminisce of that special time in her life. Some of her hobbies were reading the Bible, watching classic movies, playing games on Facebook, listening to all types of music, especially Elvis Presley, and she passed that love for him down to her children. Her most favorite things were going to church, having dates with the love of her life, being outdoors, fishing, barbecuing, and going to the Wyandotte County Lake.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor (she was a kid at heart), the strong love she had for our country and the most important thing was she had a very kind heart and she forgave people no matter what!

Grace is survived by her husband, "the love of her life," of twenty-three years, Jesus Antonio Gutierrez; her children, Casey Puckett, Edward Puckett, Tracy Shroyer, Teddy Long, Christopher Cromwell, Johnny Puckett, and Andrea Lantz (spouse Brandon); her step-daughter, Suzanna Gutierrez; her siblings, Janet Buesing, Jeraldine Warner, Rodney Ash, Corina Ash Everett; as well as grandchildren, Skyler, Brighton, Zoe, Lilyanna, Ian, Calliope, Abagail, Isabella, Dave, Xavier, Jahnavi, Madsion, Adrianna, Mia, Chuy, Dalia, and Dario; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sharon Moats; and her brothers, Chester Moats, John Ash and Jerry Joe Ash.

A visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00pm, with funeral services to follow at 1:00pm, Monday, May 21st at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Memorial contributions may be made in Grace’s honor to the Community of Christ Church in Independence, Mo.
