Harold Dean Onwiler (Dizzy Dean) age 92 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away July 14th surrounded by family. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 72 years Geraldine Onwiler, daughter Kim White, son-in-law Bill Budy, grandchildren Nicholas Budy (Christin), Deena Budy, Anthony White, Austin White, Lauren White, and one great grandson Ryker Budy the light of their lives! Harold is preceded in death by his mother Edith Simpson, his father Harold C Onwiler, and his daughter Janet Budy.
Harold grew up in Kansas City and got drafted to the army when he was just 22 years old. He served 2 years at Fort Sill. After returning home he continued his employment at Sunshine Biscuit as a receiver for 42 years before retiring. He was a member of Ruby Avenue Baptist church. He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, fixing everything with gorilla glue, his tools, his pets, his cars, Westerns, John Wayne, and Wrassling, He also loved to travel with his wife, pets and sometimes his granddaughter. Our family is grateful to know that he is no longer suffering.
Visitation and Services will be held at Chapel Hill-Butler funeral home on July 24th, 2023. Visitation will be from 9am-11am with service starting at 11am, and interment to follow along with a lunch after. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Wounded Warriors and/ or Disabled Veterans
