Rowdy Bernard, 69, passed away August 10, 2014. A visitation will be held Friday, August 15th from 10:00-11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Cancer Foundation.
Rowdy spent his life in the Kansas City area. He served in the United States Army. Rowdy was an over the road trucker driver for 30 years and a member of the Teamsters Local 31. In his free time, he enjoyed rides on his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 11 brothers and 1 sister. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years, Joyce (Moad) Bernard; son, Lawrence Holmes; brothers, Lucky Bernard and Jim Bernard and numerous nieces and nephews.
