

Helen was born March 12, 1924 in Kansas City, Kansas to John and Mary (Stiglich) Stimach. As a young woman, she enjoyed playing softball and led her Bemis Cats team to a championship victory as their pitcher. She won several Grand Champion ribbons for her baking and crocheting. She loved traveling and did so often with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar Society, the Indian Springs Walkers Club, German American Club and People-to-People International. She loved her family and never stopped bragging about her three grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Hans Carl Jorgensen, her parents, brothers, John, Joseph, Anthony, Albert, and Ernest, and sister Stella Belke.
She is survived by her son Carl of the home; daughter Carol Waltsak and husband Glenn of Kansas City, Kansas; three grandchildren, Jason, Jeff and Jill Waltsak; brothers, Frank Stimach of Los Angeles, CA, Edward Stimach of Stafford, TX, and sister, Mary Goodell of Kansas City, Kansas.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Mon., Nov. 12 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK, with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tues., Nov. 13 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., KCK. Interment will follow the Mass in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
