Janice Ruth Burke of Kansas City, KS passed away on September 24, 2020. She was 73 years old. Due to restrictions, private family services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Janice’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Janice was born on November 16, 1946 to Arnold and Mildred (Badger) Gerber. She met and married the love of her life, Earl S. Burke and blessed him with three beautiful children. She spent most of her life as a loving homemaker, always tending to her family’s needs before her own. Her greatest accomplish was being a fantastic wife, mom, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She was so proud of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Mildred Gerber; sisters, Patricia Carver and Beverly Burke; and son-in-law, Brock Wylie.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 57 years, Earl S. Burke; children, Scott Burke and his wife Cheryl, Richard Burke, and Kerry Gentry and her husband Todd; grandchildren, Johsua Burke, Joseph and Ashley Moore, Jake and Brooklyn Wylie, Carter Wylie, Tevin Gentry, and Tyra Hernandez-Warwick; great-grandchildren, Tatum Bills, Adalyn and Aiden Moore, Avery Burke, Ethan Moore and Brock Wylie; three brothers and one sister; many nieces and nephews; along with many other family members and friends.
