Janice Louise Potter

Janice Louise Potter, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born on January 31, 1933, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the late Laurence Virgil and Mary Frances Willard.

She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching (especially hummingbirds), jigsaw puzzles, sewing, quilting, knitting, baking, and taking care of her pets and home. She was a devoted homemaker where she proudly displayed her antique dinnerware collection and family heirlooms.

Janice is survived by her son, Paul Potter. She was grandmother to Elizabeth, Emily, Joshua, Aaron, and David, and great-grandmother to Rowan, Daniel, and Hazel. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Sue Willard, her brothers Laurence (Larry) Willard Jr. and William (Bill) Willard, her son Russell Potter, and her husband Marvin Potter.

A memorial service for family will be held to celebrate Janice’s life and honor her memory. The family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Janice’s name.

A visitation for Janice will be held Friday, June 19, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Following the visitation will be Memorial Service at 1:30 pm and a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
