What a wonderful man!! I worked a lot of events with him thru turner Recreation and the school district. He always had kind things to say. He will be missed. Prayers for all his family and friends.

I knew Jim for many years working in KCKPS.  I always appreciated his kindness, professionalism and support.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Sorry to the family I grew up with Jim and his sisters bev and marvena. Jim was  such  a nice guy  he will be miss by all.    I ñew his mom and  dad  Debbie Duncan.  Now Debbie wells. He new me by my old name

I want to wish the family my deepest and sincerest condolencess.  Jim will always be remembered for his stature, not physically, but personality.  I’ve known Jim since junior high school.  He was in the same graduating class as my brother, Bruce.  I remember Jim as very intelligent, fun loving, dedicated and always smiling.  That smile always radiated ear to ear.   He was definitely a walking sports encyclopedia and a renowned statistician.  He could recite just about any sports statistic out there.  And, he was always right.  Back in the day, selected students were called upon to drive fellow students/team members to meets and competitions.  I was one of those designated drivers.  I could count on Jim to be one of my regular passengers.  We were definite “Buds.”  More recently he had connected with me at a couple of car shows just to share “old times” and our mutual respect for one another.  Jim is, and always will be, a very good man.  He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.  May you Forever Rest In Eternal Peace my friend….

I miss Jim coming to the bank and always talking about his family  He always had a smile when he came in. He loved his sons and was very proud of them.  He always asked how his sister was feeling up to because we have been friends for over 50 years.  I will miss that beautiful smile

Condolences and regrets to all family and friends. I remember meeting Jim, at Art Lawrence Memorial Stadium. My eighth grade year at ARGENTINE MIDDLE SCHOOL during track practice. He was there helping the high school athletes with their techniques. In the shot put, and discus. Later in high school, I would see him, while I was lifting weights, in preparation for the football season during the summer. He was always giving advice and encouragement to me and others. May He, REST IN PARADISE.

We were so sorry to hear of Jim's passing.  He touched so many lives during his time providing security in the Kansas City, Kansas 
School District.  Everyone knew Officer Jim by name or by face.  He was particularly popular at his last assignment at the Kansas City Kansas Early Childhood Center (KCKECC)...those  preschoolers were drawn to his uniform and loved seeing him every day!
It was apparent to everyone with whom he came into contact that Jim loved his boys!  He talked about his sons often and with great pride.  We know special memories will help them through this difficult time.
