JoAnne Lawson

JoAnne Lawson, 68, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away November 10, 2022. A memorial service for JoAnne will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Cremation will take place and her final resting place will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

JoAnne was born on July 4, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas to Joseph and Sara (Hagerty) Mufich. She was a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area and went to Westside Christian Church. JoAnne worked for 12 years at Walmart before her retirement. She first worked at the Walmart in Excelsior Springs and then Bonner Springs. She was a cashier there and loved her job very much. She connected with the customers and some of them would spend the extra time in line just to be able to talk with her.

JoAnne enjoyed arts, crafts, crocheting and traveling to different cities for craft shows. She was also a huge Elvis and Samuel Elliott fan. She was a collector of bluebirds and Eeyore’s from Winnie the Pooh.

JoAnne was preceded in passing by her parents and two sons, Michael and Timothy.

JoAnne leaves behind her son, Christopher Lawson and his family; sister, Becky and her family; brother, Michael and his family; and sister, Nancy and her family.
