John was born on March 7, 1981 in Quincy, IL and raised in Kansas City, KS, Johnny was a graduate of Sumner Academy, Class of 1999. In his youth, he was a multi-sport athlete who found joy in both playing and competing - as a pitcher on the baseball field and as a quarterback on the football team. He made friendships and memories that stayed with him throughout his life.
Johnny loved to laugh and have fun. He found comfort in routine, in familiar places, and in the companionship of those closest to him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and the deep bond he shared with those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Robert Feld, whose influence and coaching shaped so much of his early life. He is survived by his loving mother, Patricia, and his sisters, Melissa (Jennifer Berger), Jessica (Daniel Hinkle), and Madeline (Damon Brooks), who will forever cherish his memory. The family would like to thank the friends at Crosswinds Counseling & Wellness, Emporia, who provided him support and care.
Johnny will be honored with a private family service. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Memorials may be made to Crosswinds Counseling & Wellness or Prairie Paws Animal Shelter of Emporia.
