Josie was born January 8, 1923 in Monterey, Tennessee. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 63 years, Pete "Tennessee" Maxwell. Josie has 12 children--Paul, Benton, Linda, Brenda, Peggy, Roger, Carl, Danny, Debby, Dorothy, John, and Pete Jr. She had 35 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
In her prime, Josie loved playing the guitar and singing. She was an amazing woman who was loved by everyone she came in contact with. "Momma, Grandma Maxwell, and Great Grandma" always had a smile on her face and loved all of her "kids" unconditionally.
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm, Tuesday, August 9th at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112; with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm at the funeral home with the burial to follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
