Jost Vang, a lifelong resident of Kansas City, KS, passed away unexpectedly on August 24, 2025, at the age of 43. He was born on April 8, 1982, in Kansas City, KS, and grew up in the same community he loved so dearly.
Jost was a kind and generous soul, known for his willingness to help others without ever expecting anything in return. He had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly fishing and hunting, and cherished every moment spent with his family. A beloved son, a loving brother, and a cherished uncle, Jost’s love and loyalty to his family were unwavering. He was known for his infectious laugh, warm heart, and the unconditional love he gave to everyone around him.
Jost’s family and friends will always remember him for his selflessness, his compassion, and his ability to bring light into any room he entered.
Family time will be Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm with a funeral service from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Family time will be Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a funeral service from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, September 29, 2025, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. All services will take place at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112.
Following the funeral service Monday, a graveside service will take place from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 12600 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, Kansas, 66109.
Pallbearers will include James Vang, Jason Vang, Michael Dillon, Eken Vang, Dailan Vang, and Nova Vang.
