Joyce Yvonne Jones was born August 25, 1938 in Topeka Kansas to Clarence Leroy Jordan and Abbie Frances Jordan. She was the oldest child of three with 2 brothers Wally Leroy Jordan and Ronald Clarence Jordan. They were raised in Kansas City, Kansas and she graduated from Sumner High School in 1956.
Joyce worked as a substitute teacher and also in retail. She belonged to First AME Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. Joyce departed this Life on May 19, 2025 and she leaves to cherish her 4 children Melody Jones Lee (Terry Lee); Lon Busey; Kamala Busey and Carmen Jones, and 3 grandchildren Crystal Williams; Cameryn Gray and Tyshaun Donahue and 1 great-grand daughter Alyscea Jackson.
A visitation for Joyce will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
Joyce will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
