Juanita Hayes Dupree was born on December 3, 1936 to Bernice Brogin and Adlee Brogin of Brookneal, VA. She lived the early years of her life in Virginia, where she graduated from high school. In 1960 she relocated to Kansas City where she resided until her death.
Juanita’s family would attest to the fact that she was a very selfless woman. She would help anybody in need. Whether it was food to eat, a place to live, or sound counsel. Juanita loved being surrounded by family. She will always be remembered as sweet, loving, and caring. Some would say she was a phenomenal woman.
She was no stranger to work. Juanita was committed to Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 23 years of service until she retired. She continued her career with the Unified Government for 20 more years where she finally retired.
Juanita was preceded in death by both of her parents; her late husband; two brothers, Calvin Brogin and James Brogin; three children, Richard Hayes, Robin Hayes; and Raymond Dupree.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Michael (Ruth) Dupree and Brian (Belinda) Dupree; and daughter, Sheila Hayes all of Kansas City. Also a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
