Judith Jean “Judi” (Slovinski) Scanlon, 70, Kansas City, Kansas passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Friday, September 30, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas City Hospice House. Judi was born February 2, 1941 in Bristol, CT. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Jean Slovinski, a sister; Carol Vargas and a granddaughter; Kelsey Price. Survivors include her husband of 50 years: Edward; 7 children: Christine Wise, Susan Spring, Patricia Price, Michelle Scanlon, Jennifer Scanlon, Shawn Scanlon and Elizabeth Yohon; 10 grandchildren; 1 brother; George Slovinski and many nieces and nephews. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
