

Judith H. Cleveland, 75, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away August 1, 2016 at home surrounded by family. A visitation will be held from 1:30-3:00pm, Saturday, August 6 at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112 and graveside services will follow at 3:00pm in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Judy was born May 1, 1941 in Kansas City, Kansas to Claude and Thelma Hovis. She graduated from Wyandotte High School and worked for the Gas Service Company until she retired. After retirement, Judy worked for the Sweet Life of Mission Hills as a receptionist and loved decorating the facility for all the holidays for the residents to enjoy. She was a former member of Grandview Baptist. Judy enjoyed quilting and sewing and she was always finding recipes to try.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Thelma Hovis; and her former husband, Charles Lester Cleveland.
She is survived by her children, Tina Renee Miller, and Richard Shawn Cleveland and his wife Kimberly Lynn; her grandchildren, Printis Dwayne Meadows, Jr., Shawn Michael Meadows, Aaron Keith Meadows and his wife Shelly, Noah Alexander Miller, Kevin Joseph Cleveland and his wife Lindsey, and Cody Gage Cleveland, Kathy Nicole Cleveland, and Ronald Lee Lucas, III and his girlfriend Brittlle Glasscock; her great-grandchildren, Aiden Meadows, Ashton Meadows, Thomas Cleveland, Joseph Cleveland, Adylinn Glasscock, and Ryker Lucas; as well as other friends and family.
