Sunrise) “My name is Juvon Markith Williams. I was born May 9, 1984 to Lillie Williams at KU Medical Center. I was born into this world with immediate challenges—but from the very beginning, Jesus was with me. My story began with many medical conditions. I had open heart surgery when I was only 7 months old. In 1992, I had double amputation at the knee and at the ankle. In 1994, I had several procedures done on my hip, eyes, nose and ears. In 1999, I had a G-Tube inserted in my stomach for feeding. In 2004, I had back surgery to insert rods due to scoliosis. I had my last surgery on May 14, 2025, on my arm. As you can see, I had hearing and vision impairments, heart defects, chronic ear infections and had to be fed through my feeding tube and pureed foods by mouth. I had many health issues in my story. Because the Lord stood by me, I survived what many said I wouldn’t. My life wasn’t easy, but it was well lived. I saw doctors more times than I could count. At times, it felt overwhelming, but it was all necessary. God used every one of those doctors and nurses—they became part of my beautiful story God was writing through my life.
My story began with hardship, but today, it stands as a testimony of God’s goodness. Each of you played a part in God’s plan. You were witnesses to His power working in my life. I am a living miracle. The doctors once said I wouldn’t live past one year old—but God had the final say. He showed them exactly who He is. God gave me 41 grateful years on May 9, 2025! God used me to remind everyone—doctors, nurses, and anyone who saw my physical struggles—that He is the Author and the Finisher of life. Through me, He revealed His miracles, defying science and human understanding. He used my life to show you that He still performs wonders today.
Through my life, God showed what unconditional love can do. He didn’t just show you what faith looks like—you saw the results of your prayers and belief. You witnessed the blessings that come from obedience, compassion, and love. I’ve also seen what happens when people fully devote themselves to God—it's powerful to see God working through people, even me.
To my village of caretakers—thank you. Thank you for loving me, feeding me, changing me, cleaning me, holding me, carrying me, and fighting for me. Thank you for every sacrifice you made so that I could be cared for and surrounded with love. That love healed me in ways no medicine could. It covered my scars. It outweighed every disability. To my Uncle Dale and Aunt Beetle-I must say a special thank you. I wouldn’t have a 41 year old story if it wasn’t for you two. Thank you for never giving up on that baby that was born with multiple congenital anomalies. Thank you all for loving me through all my acts of bullying-my pinching, scratching, biting and digging never stopped you from loving me. Yes, life brought its challenges—but through it all, God was so good. He is worthy of the highest praise. What more could I ask for? Just one thing: A place in His Kingdom. And now, I have that. So don’t worry about me anymore because I am now totally healed.
The Lord surrounded me with faithful, loving people—not only to take care of me, but to make sure I knew Jesus. Because of that, I get to walk on these transparent streets of gold. And now, looking down from Heaven, I hear a question many of you are asking “What do I do now?” The answer is simple: Keep being faithful. Keep showing compassion. Keep loving unconditionally. Keep devoting your life to the Lord. Keep telling my story so that others will know that God is real and He is faithful. Keep gathering together, supporting one another, and being there for each other. Keep serving and sacrificing for God—especially when life gets hard.
I have received my eternal reward. No more pain. No more surgeries. No more struggles. The Lord has healed me completely and given me rest. My hope is that I see you here one day when He calls your name. I want us all to meet in this place where we will never have to say goodbye again. I pray you’ve devoted your life to Jesus—and that you continue serving Him faithfully, just as I saw so many of you do while I was with you. Tomorrow isn’t promised. But Heaven is for all who truly love the Lord.” I love you all. – Juvon (Sundown - May 15, 2025)
