Kathy L. Roper

Kathy L. Roper, 51, of Bonner Springs, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12th at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to The American Diabetes Association.

Kathy was born July 28, 1960 in Kansas City, Kansas to Richard and Virginia (Rankin) Roper. She was a lifelong area resident, and a 1978 graduate of Piper High School. Kathy was the Office Manager at Tabco for the last 34 years, and she loved supporting her nieces and nephews by attending their various games and recitals. She loved all kinds of shopping, but especially when it came to shoes, knick-knacks, and purses. She was preceded in death by her mother in November, 2011, with whom she was very close.

Survivors include her son, Josh Gallamore; 1 brother, Steve Roper of Kansas City, Kansas; 2 sisters, Vicky Hogue of Shawnee, Kansas, and Kristi Bailey of Eudora, Kansas; 2 nephews, J. J. Simma and Brad Simma; 5 nieces, Izzy Fry, Marina Bailey, Layla Bailey, Hannah Roper and Sophie Roper; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
